Quarter gold is a coin minted by the Turkish State Mint and Stamp Printing House, with 22 karat (916.6 millesimal) purity and 1.75 gram weight. It gets its name from being one quarter the weight of a full gold coin.

Quarter gold is the most commonly given gold type at weddings and engagements in Turkish culture. The amount of gold to be given to guests at weddings is determined using the quarter gold unit. This cultural significance adds emotional and social value beyond its role as an investment vehicle.
